General Information

The PIXEL2002 International Workshop will be held on September 9-12, 2002
at the Hotel and Conference Center, Carmel Mission Inn, in Carmel, California, USA.

The Workshop will focus on the applications of pixel detectors in particle physics experiments but it will also include topics related to applications in other fields (heavy ion experiments, biomedicine, astrophysics and others).

The conference sessions will cover the following topics:

1. Integrated circuit electronics;
2. Hybridization (bump bonding, MCM-D, interconnections);
3. Sensors;
4. Biomedical applications;
5. Photon detection in particle, nuclear and astroparticle physics.
6. Systems aspects for particle physics experiments - mechanics, cooling, power and control systems

Applications of CCDs will not be covered in this conference.

The conference will consist of only plenary sessions. There will be a mixture of overview talks and shorter contributions.

A computer-driven projector for your laptop as well as an overhead projector for transparencies will be available.
